An Interview with HWA President and King Aficionado, Rocky Wood

Rocky Wood is widely regarded as a leading expert on the works of Stephen King. His books include, The Complete Guide to the Works of Stephen King; Stephen King: Uncollected, Unpublished; The Stephen King Collector’s Guide; Stephen King: The Non-Fiction; and The Complete Guide to the Works of Stephen King, a six-thousand page encyclopaedia on CD-ROM, which summarizes every story, every character, every place, and the entire timeline of King’s work. His latest endeavour, Stephen King: a Literary Companion (McFarland Literary Companions) was published in April, 2011.

Stephen King aside, Rocky is currently serving a two-year term as president of the Horror Writer’s Association, a community that “exists to promote and protect the careers of professional horror writers and those seeking to enter their ranks.”

Rocky was kind enough to share his time and his thoughts on Stephen King and the horror genre. An invaluable resource for veteran horror writers and newcomers alike, Rocky Wood is an important and influential member of the horror community.
